Wireless VOIP runs the communications over a wireless LAN (local area network). If callers are within range of a WLAN access point, they can make and receive calls over the wireless network - assuming they have a VOIP enabled phone / or blue tooth wireless phone.

Because technology moves in the direction from a hardwired technology to wireless, we can expect VOIP to take the same migration path. Voice over Internet Protocol, will later become Video Over Internet Protocol, and as computing power becomes plentiful, and the internet more encompassing, we'll have immediate access to the Internet whenever we would like.
